BLOGGER TEMPLATES AND TWITTER BACKGROUNDS

March 1, 2010

Welcome!

Let me start this blog by giving you some background info. After being together for 6 months my wonderful boyfriend proposed on my birthday in January. I knew it was coming but I had no idea when so I was extremely surprised and happy when he popped the question on my birthday. I consider that the best birthday present I've ever received.

Now let me give you a little info on my fiance. He's from Dallas originally but has been stationed at Ft Benning for the past 3 years. "Our story" to come soon. :)

Back to the story....once we made it back to post we immediately headed over to his headquarters to find out when the next block leave was so we could set our date. (I still have the post-it in my purse that he used to write the dates on.) We decided on our date and started to discuss the details.

Now this is the part when most brides-to-be plan out the year or so prior to the wedding. Not me. I was looking at a little less than 6 months.

But this shouldn't be too much of a problem right? Sure, if you have your fiance around to help you with the planning and whatnot. Not me. Mine was due to report to Army training land in February. Yup, I'm going to be planning our wedding by myself in a short period of time while worrying about him surviving Sucksville (as he calls it).

Now that you're caught up let me tell you the meaning behind this blog. My love will be in Army training land for the next couple of months and we will be incommunicado for most of that time. Not being able to have him around to help me decide the details of our wedding, or talk me down when I start to get stressed out from all the details that go into planning a wedding (My goodness is there a lot to think about!) is going to be hard. This blog is going to be my way of talking to him without him being there.

So, check back often for mushy sappiness and wedding details.
